Fingerprint Technician

Fingerprint Technicians are responsible for classifying and identifying fingerprints and processing all prisoners arrested by BRPD officers and other agencies through Live Scan. Fingerprint Technicians’ duties include recording prisoners’ information, collecting fingerprints, and photographing.“If you have currently passed a Civil Service test with a 75% or higher in this position, you must complete the BRPD Intake and BRPD application. EARNINGS

As of Sept 10th, 2022, a new, Fingerprint Technician can earn up to $29,474 after one year.

Base starting salary$24,279 – annually
After six months from the date of hire (3% merit increase)$24,900 – annually
After one year from the date of hire (3% merit increase)$25,724 – after one year
